Scheduling automated scans
3 min read·Updated April 2026
Scheduling runs the same filter automatically on a recurring basis — daily or weekly, at a time you choose. Wake up to fresh deals already analysed and waiting in your inbox.
Ultimate plan only. Scheduled scans aren’t available on Basic or Business. Upgrade in Settings → Billing if you want them.
How to schedule a scan
1
Save your filter first
Schedules attach to a saved filter. If you haven’t built the filter yet, do that first — see How to create a filter.
2
Open Schedules
Click Schedules in the sidebar (or go to /schedules directly). You’ll see a list of any existing schedules and a New schedule button.
3
Configure the schedule
Click New schedule, then pick:
- Filter — which saved filter to run
- Frequency — daily or weekly
- Time — UK time, 24-hour
- Days of week — for weekly schedules, tick the days that apply
4
Save
Hit Save. The first scan fires at the next matching slot — if you set it to 8am daily and it’s currently 9am, the first run is tomorrow morning.
Notifications
When a scheduled scan finishes you get an email with the top deals plus a link to the full results. If you’ve enabled browser notifications, you’ll also get a desktop ping the moment the scan completes.
Editing or pausing
Click any schedule in the list to edit time, days, or filter. Use the toggle to pause it without deleting — handy when you’re on holiday or stocking is closed.
Platform limitations
- Motorway is closed daily between 15:30 and 16:30 UK time for session reset. Scheduled scans hitting that window are skipped — pick a time outside it.
- CarWow Auction is closed weekends. Scans scheduled Friday evening through Sunday will skip the CarWow Auction platform and only run the others you’ve enabled.
Most dealers schedule for 7am or 8am — that way the morning’s top deals are already in your inbox before the auction day kicks off.
