Using Swipe Mode on mobile

2 min read·Updated April 2026

Swipe Mode is a Tinder-style triage view for your phone. One car fills the screen at a time — profit, retail, MOT, AT rating, image — and you swipe through the stack deciding what to chase. Most dealers use the table on desktop and Swipe Mode on the move.

Opening Swipe Mode

On any scan results page (/scans/{id}), tap the floating Swipe Mode button bottom-right. It only appears on mobile screen widths — the table view is faster on desktop.

Swipe Mode is the fastest way to clear 50+ profitable cars in one sitting. On a busy Motorway day you can triage the whole scan in a couple of minutes.

Controls

1

Swipe right (or tap the heart)

Favourites the car. The row gets an amber border in the table view so it stands out when you go back to follow up.

2

Swipe left (or tap the X)

Hides the car from results. Hidden rows collapse into a banner at the bottom of the table — tap it to bring them back if you change your mind.

3

Swipe up

Opens the car’s source listing (Motorway or CarWow) in a new tab. Useful when a card looks promising and you want to check pictures or notes before deciding.

4

Tap the centre of the card

Opens the MOT modal — full advisory and failure history without leaving Swipe Mode. Tap outside the modal to close it and keep swiping.

Progress and exit

  • Counter at the top — e.g. “3 of 60”. Tap it to jump straight to the table view at the current car.
  • X top-left — exits Swipe Mode and returns you to /scans/{id}.
  • Your favourites and hides are saved in real-time — closing the app mid-swipe doesn’t lose your decisions.
Swipe Mode shows the same rows you’d see in the table — if you’ve already applied filter pills (e.g. only Motorway, only profit > £3k), Swipe Mode respects them.
Best workflow: run scans first thing on desktop, then use Swipe Mode on the train or between viewings to mark which cars to call about.
