How to change your password

You can change your ScanAuctions password any time from your profile. It takes about 30 seconds. Other devices you’re signed in on will be logged out automatically — useful if you’ve recently switched phones or shared a device by mistake.

Open your profile
Click your avatar in the top-right corner and pick Profile, or tap Profile in the sidebar. You’ll land on /profile.

Find the Change Password section
Scroll to Change Password. It’s a small panel with three input fields.

Enter old + new password
Type your current password first, then your new password twice (the second field is just to catch typos).

Save
Click Save. You’ll see a green confirmation. You stay logged in on this device, but every other session (other browsers, your phone, the Chrome extension) gets signed out for safety.
Password requirements
- Minimum 10 characters
- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one number
Forgotten password?
Sign out (or open an incognito window), then click Forgot password on the login page. We’ll email a reset link to your account email — the link is valid for 24 hours. If it doesn’t arrive in 5 minutes, check spam, or email hello@scanauctions.com from your account email.
Use a password manager (1Password, Bitwarden, iCloud Keychain). It generates strong passwords, fills them automatically, and you never need to remember them. Don’t reuse the same password across sites — one breach elsewhere shouldn’t put your ScanAuctions account at risk.
If you suspect your account has been accessed without your permission, change your password immediately and email us at hello@scanauctions.com. We can audit recent logins and revoke any rogue sessions for you.
